Azerbaijan's FM meets with the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

On May 1, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Olena Kondratyuk, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, who was on a visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, APA reports citing the Ministry.

During the meeting, they discussed current issues on the cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, as well as regional and international security issues of mutual interest.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized the significance of the existing close contacts between Azerbaijan and Ukraine in fostering cooperation, noting the important role of parliamentary relations in the development of our partnership in this direction.

It was highlighted that the continuous demonstration of support for the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty, based on our relations, across all platforms, is commendable.

The importance of political consultation mechanisms in further advancing the relations between the two countries was emphasized.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed the Ukrainian side in detail about the current situation and realities in the region during the post-conflict period, as well as efforts for regional peace and stability.

The Ukrainian side expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan's consistent approach to international legal norms, especially the principle of territorial integrity, and for the humanitarian assistance provided. Confidence was expressed in the further development of strategic partnership relations.

During the meeting, there was also an exchange of views on other mutual and regional issues of interest.
