Damage inflicted on Azerbaijan's ecology is a damage inflicted on the world - Chair of Türkiye-Azerbaijan Friendship Foundation

"During the period of occupation, the worship houses in Garabagh were destroyed and cattle were kept there. Why does the international community not react to this? Why does it implement hypocritical policy?," Member of the Security and Foreign Policies Council under the President of Türkiye, Chair of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Friendship, Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation Aygun Attar said as she delivered a speech at the panel session on “Ensuring sustainable peace for the revival and preservation of culture in post-conflict periods” held within 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, APA reports.

She noted that steps taken and reactions to what happened were not enough:

"Damage inflicted on Azerbaijan's ecology is a damage inflicted on the world. In order for us to live in a civilized world, an objective account of what happened must be asked. I believe that it is necessary to focus on this. We should not just gather and listen to each other's speeches on this. We should all express our objection no matter where we are in the world."

She noted that with this forum, Azerbaijan calls on the world regarding culture and security.

She also expressed her gratitude to the Turkic states who supported Azerbaijan in reviving Garabagh.
