Azerbaijani CEC Chairman: We should start preparing for parliamentary elections already

"We should start preparing for the parliamentary elections already," said Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan (CEC) during the meeting of CEC, APA reports.

Mazahir Panahov said that summer is coming: "It is easier to do some things in spring and autumn. Therefore, we should start preparing already. Starting from January, voter lists are being refined. The process of clarification of voter lists regarding with the parliamentary elections should be accelerated."

Recall that the chairman of the Central Election Commission said that according to the legislation, parliamentary elections should be held in November of this year, and the date of the elections may be pushed forward. Taking into consideration the parliamentary elections, he considered it important to start certain works related to the education of the members of the election commissions.
