Kremlin calls statements of Macron and Cameron dangerous

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Friday described recent comments by French President Emmanuel Macron in which he repeated the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine as being part of a "very dangerous trend", APA reports citing foreign media.

"The statement is very important and very dangerous," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, adding that Macron "continues to constantly talk about the possibility of direct involvement on the ground in the conflict around Ukraine. This is a very dangerous trend."

Peskov called British Foreign Secretary David Cameron's statement that Ukraine could use British weapons against targets inside Russia if it wanted a "direct escalation" of the conflict.

Kremlin spokesman the comments as dangerous and worrying and said they could imperil the entire system of European security architecture.
