Historical success has been achieved in the legal case concerning the issue of Western Azerbaijan, says the statement of the Western Azerbaijan Community, APA reports.

The statement reads: "57 member states of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have expressed concern for the fate of the Azerbaijanis who were forcibly expelled from Armenia and encouraged their peaceful, safe, and dignified return to their homelands during the summit held in Banjul City of Gambia on 4-5 May 2024, APA reports.

Additionally, heads of state and governments strongly condemned the humiliation and destruction of Muslim cultural heritage in Armenia.

The Western Azerbaijan Community welcomes this decision of the OIC summit. By making this decision, OIC became the first international organization to support the return of Azerbaijanis who were forcibly expelled from Armenia.

The Western Azerbaijan Community believes that unequivocal support of the Organization to the Western Azerbaijan issue will promote the peaceful return of expelled Azerbaijanis to their homes."
