Stricter rules for migrants in Russia to take effect on February 5

Starting from February 5, a law allowing internal affairs authorities in Russia to deport migrants residing illegally in the country without a court decision will come into force, The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Volodin, said on his Telegram account, APA reports.

According to him, from that date, fines will also begin to be imposed on foreigners for violations of migration legislation.

V. Volodin also emphasized the importance of informing the police about the whereabouts of foreigners under special supervision, as well as those violating entry-exit rules and residing illegally in Russia.

Note that those who do not comply with these rules will be deprived of the right to purchase housing or a car in Russia, apply for a bank loan, enter into marriage, and move freely within the country.

Recall that there are a significant number of Azerbaijani migrants in Russia.
