Today, a meeting of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan will be held, Olaylar informs.
Information about the general results of municipal elections will be presented and approved at the meeting.
According to the "Calendar Plan of main actions and activities for the preparation and conduct of municipal elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan," the verification and approval of election results must be completed within 20 days from the voting day, that is, no later than February 18, 2025, in accordance with the Electoral Code.
The announcement of the final election results must take place no later than 25 days after the voting day, that is, by February 23, 2025. Both procedures are under the jurisdiction of the Central Election Commission.
As many as 1,874,810 voters participated in the voting in the municipal elections held on January 29, and the turnout was 31.45%.
