Azerbaijani FM meets with State Secretary of Slovenian MFA-PHOTO

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Marko Štucin, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.

It was noted that during the meeting, issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia, as well as regional and international security situations, were discussed.

The meeting highlighted the necessity of utilizing the existing perspectives for cooperation in the areas of energy security, trade, business, and transport-communications, particularly emphasis on how Azerbaijan's strategic position in the Middle Corridor has facilitated the use of these opportunities.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov speaking about the current state of the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization and peace agenda, noted that despite a number of advancements and agreed provisions, Armenia's continued territorial claims against Azerbaijan in its Constitution, as well as the country's rapid militarization with a spirit of revanchism, poses a threat to regional peacebuilding.

During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also exchanged.
