It is planned to desalinate 300,000 cubic meters of seawater daily and deliver it to the network, said Selim Güven, director of ACWA Power for Azerbaijan and Türkiye, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that 70% of Azerbaijan's water needs are formed in foreign countries. In this regard, desalinating seawater is extremely important.
"We will complete the construction of the seawater desalination project, which will meet Azerbaijan's water security and Baku's water needs, within 2.5 years," Selim Güven stated.
