Last year, the volume of cargo transported through transportation corridors in Azerbaijan amounted to 33,258 thousand tons, which is a 1.4% increase on annual comparison, APA-Economics reports citing the State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, 15,277.6 thousand tons (46%) of the cargo were transported by rail, 10,090.0 thousand tons (30.3%) by road, and 7,890.4 thousand tons (23.7%) by sea.
According to the data, 56.6% of the cargo transported through the corridors, or 18,840.1 thousand tons, were transit cargo.
