Two Georgian citizens have been detained as a result of an anti-terrorist operation conducted by the State Security Service (SSS) in Georgia, the SSS of Georgia released information in this regard, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports.
It was reported that during a search of the detainees' homes, important evidence for the investigation, including combat ammunition, various types of electronic devices, money, and other significant items was confiscated. It was noted in SSS's statement that during the search of the detainees' house, various evidence confirming their possible connections with an international terrorist organization was also confiscated.
An investigation is underway under the article of the Georgian Criminal Code related to joining a terrorist organization and assisting in terrorist activities.
