"Cyberattacks against state entities are being fully prevented. The attacks were mainly against media organizations whose information is posted externally," said Major General Allahveran Ismayilov, Deputy Head of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.
He said that media organizations should be careful about these issues. The State Service and other relevant state agencies should strengthen cooperation in conducting awareness-raising activities and holding meetings: "If we show what needs to be done and what measures we take, we can quickly prevent such cases. Sometimes it seems to us that there is little information in open sources. However, special services obtain a large amount of operational information from the analysis data they conduct in open sources. Cyberattacks show that there should be no simple approach to issues related to media in open sources, but should be viewed from the security perspective. Everyone should make the most of their opportunities in terms of ensuring their security."
