“Azerbaijan places importance on multilateral cooperation today,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, during the panel titled Reimagining Multilateralism for a Multipolar World held within the framework of the XII Global Baku Forum, APA reports.
“We strive to defend our national interests. At the same time, we respect the interests of others. The main issue here is not interfering in each other's internal affairs. The composition of the UN Security Council mostly reflects the realities of the 1940s. Ideological reforms must also be carried out. Specific issues should be discussed to eliminate deep divisions. Changes in the UN and other organizations are necessary today,” the minister noted.
