As you know, 7 candidates were registered for the presidential elections, which will take place on February 7, and the campaign began on January 15.
Yeniavaz.com reports, that presidential candidates published the first preliminary financial reports on the income and expenses of election funds.
It should be noted that the candidate with the largest electoral fund is the current President Ilham Aliyev. The income of Ilham Aliyev’s election fund amounts to 250 thousand manats. All these funds were allocated by the New Azerbaijan Party, which nominated Ilham Aliyev.
Among the presidential candidates, the chairman of the Great Azerbaijan Party, Elshad Musayev, has the smallest electoral fund. The income of Elshad Musayev’s election fund amounted to only 1,500 manats. Of these funds, 1 thousand manats was paid as a fee for financial support of organizational and technical measures aimed at collecting voter signatures, as well as to the relevant persons for collecting voter signatures. According to the financial report, the remaining unused amount on election day was 500 manats. It should also be noted that since there are more than 2 weeks left until election day, the point of showing the remaining amount in the first financial report announced by Elshad Musayev is unclear.
