President of the European Parliament visits Ukraine

Roberta Metsola, the President of the European Parliament has paid a visit to Ukraine, Chairman of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk posted on his X account, APA reports.
“On Europe Day, I am pleased to welcome Roberta Metsola, the President of the European Parliament to Kyiv,” – he said.
Stefanchuk underscored that European Parliament is undoubtedly at the forefront of supporting Ukraine and it was the first institution in the EU to advocate for Ukraine's candidate status for accession to the EU.
“The European Parliament has always had a strong voice when it comes to building an international coalition to support our fight for freedom and European values, when it comes to supplying weapons to Ukraine and enhancing sanctions pressure against Russia. And Ukraine will always appreciate it,” Chairman of Verkhovna Rada noted.
