Last year, individuals sent 1 billion 82 million 873 thousand US dollars from abroad to Azerbaijan.
Yeniavaz.com reports by with reference to official data, compared to the previous year, the volume of money sent from abroad decreased by 35.6% or 572 million dollars.
It should be noted that the largest amount of money sent to Azerbaijan came from Russia. Over the past year, 45.9% (496.7 million dollars) of money transfers from abroad came from Russia. Money transfers from Russia have decreased by more than half compared to the previous year. Thus, in 2023, 1 billion 47.5 million dollars were sent from Russia to Azerbaijan.

Last year, the largest amount of money was transferred to Azerbaijan from the following countries:
Russia – $496.5 million (45.9% of the total funds);
Turkey – $175.9 million (16.2%);
USA – $65 million (6%);
Georgia – $35.3 million (3.3%);
UK – $33.9 million (3.1%);
United Arab Emirates – $31.7 million (2.9%);
Germany – $24.1 million (2.2%);
Kazakhstan – $23 million (2.1%);
Saudi Arabia – $20.5 million (1.9%);
Austria – $15 million (1.4%);
Israel – $13.6 million (1.3%);
Qatar – $12.5 million (1.2%);
France – $11.8 million (1.1%).
