Preschool Psychologist

Requirements: 

• Bachelor or Master degree in relevant field; 
• At least 1-3 years of proven work experirence as a Child Psychologist or similar role;
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and advanced level of English and Russian;    
• Experience in using MS Office and Windows software packages; 
• Knowledge of child psychology principles, assessments methods, behavior modification, etc., and current developments in child psychology, knowledge of differentiated instruction based upon children learning profiles;
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents;
• To establish effective communication with parents, school leaders, teachers and support staff. 

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address the psychological, emotional, and behavioral needs of preschool- aged children;
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and social skills training, to support children in developing coping skills and managing challenges;
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and nurturing environment for children with special needs or behavioral concerns.
  Parent Support:
• Provide guidance and support to parents and caregivers on understanding their child's behaviour, fostering positive parent- child relationships, and implementing strategies to support their child's development.
• Conduct parent education workshops, support groups, and individual counselling sessions to address parenting challenges, enhance parenting skills, and promote healthy family dynamics.
  Documentation and Record Keeping: 
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress notes for each child served.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards regarding confidentiality, informed consent, and reporting requirements.
