France takes biased position towards Azerbaijan after restoration of its territorial integrity - French professor

"Until 2020, many world states had normal relations with Azerbaijan, but the situation changed after your country restored its territorial integrity. The Minsk Group, which operated from 1994 to 2020, did nothing in the direction of resolving the conflict," Christian Vallar, professor of public law at the French Côte d'Azur University said at the international conference "France and the Armenia-Azerbaijan Conflict", APA reports.

He emphasized that until 5 years ago, relations between two countries (Azerbaijan and France - ed.) developed at a normal level:

"France previously, i.e. until 2020, supported the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and was a supporter of its sovereignty. Until 2020, normal relations existed between France and Azerbaijan. I have had conversations with the French ambassadors in your country. They always said that trade and economic relations between France and Azerbaijan were well developed. However, as I just mentioned, after ensuring territorial integrity, official Paris began to take a biased position against Azerbaijan."
