During the past year, measures were taken under administrative control to ensure the efficient use of local budget funds, the provision of legislation and transparency in the management of municipal property (including land), and the prevention of cases that create conditions for corruption and other violations, this was reflected in the "Annual Report of the Body Responsible for Administrative Control over the Activities of Municipalities" (for 2024), which was discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis' (Parliament) Committee for Regional Affairs, APA reports.
During the investigations, serious legal violations were identified in 51 cases, and the collected documents were sent to the relevant investigative authorities for legal evaluation. A criminal case has been initiated for 21 of these materials.
