In January of this year, Azerbaijan's daily oil production averaged 484,000 barrels, this was stated in the monthly report of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), APA-Economics reports.
According to the report, the figure for November of last year was 488,000 barrels, and in December it was 484,000 barrels.
The document states that last year, daily oil production in Azerbaijan averaged 482,000 barrels, which is 22,000 barrels less compared to the 2023 figure of 504,000 barrels.
Note that, according to the agreement reached at the 38th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting (OPEC and non-OPEC), Azerbaijan's production quota is 551 thousand barrels per day until the end of 2026.
Thus, Azerbaijan fell short of the quota within the framework of OPEC+ by 67 thousand barrels in December last year.
