Initial results of presidential elections announced, Ilham Aliyev becomes winner

Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov has held a press conference on the preliminary results of the presidential elections, APA reports.

Mazahir Panahov said that the CEC chairman said that the results of 3561 out of 6537 polling stations have been received.

This is 54.47% of the total points. Mazahir Panahov noted that according to the preliminary results, the candidates received the following votes:

- Ilham Aliyev - 92.10 percent (2,497,542 votes);

- Zahid Oruj - 2.20 percent;

- Fazil Mustafa - 1.99 percent;

- Gudrat Hasanguliyev - 1.78 percent;

- Razi Nurullayev - 0.79 percent;

- Elshad Musayev - 0.66 percent;

- Fuad Aliyev - 0.48 percent;

Thus, according to the intial results, Ilham Aliyev won by collecting 92.10% of valid votes.
