The Russian side rejects the West's plans to turn the South Caucasus into a geopolitical confrontation arena, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin said in an interview with RIA Novosti, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
"We reject the West's plans to turn the South Caucasus into a geopolitical confrontation arena. We will do everything in our power to protect our priority region from chaos and turn it into a zone of cooperation and progress. This is a fundamental interest of Russia," the Deputy Minister emphasized.
