Azerbaijan discloses volume of oil and gas produced from ACG and Shah Deniz so far

Since the commissioning of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and Shah Deniz fields until February 1, 2025, located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, a total of 651.9 million tons of oil (including condensate) and 469.6 billion cubic meters of gas have been extracted from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and Shah Deniz fields, APA-Economics reports citing the Ministry of Energy.

During the reporting period, 602.9 million tons of oil and 230.8 billion cubic meters of gas were extracted from ACG, and nearly 49 million tons of condensate and 238.8 billion cubic meters of gas were extracted from Shah Deniz.

"Up until February 1, 2025, nearly 650 million tons of oil and 171 billion cubic meters of gas have been transported for export," the report says.

According to the report, in January 2025, the country produced 2.3 million tons of oil (including condensate). Of the total production, 1.3 million tons were from ACG, 0.3 million tons (condensate) were from Shah Deniz, and 0.05 million tons (condensate) were from the Absheron field. SOCAR's oil (including condensate) production was 0.6 million tons.

In the last month, 2 million tons of oil (including condensate) were transported for export. Of this, 1.7 million tons belonged to the consortia, 0.25 million tons to SOCAR, and 0.05 million tons to the "Absheron" field.

It is reported that in January 2025, the country produced 3.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas. Of the gas, 1.1 billion cubic meters came from ACG, 2 billion cubic meters from Shah Deniz, 0.1 billion cubic meters from the Absheron field, and 0.7 billion cubic meters from SOCAR.

During the reporting period, gas exports amounted to 2 billion cubic meters. Of this, 1 billion cubic meters were sold to Europe, 0.7 billion cubic meters to Türkiye, and 0.3 billion cubic meters to Georgia. During this period, 0.5 billion cubic meters of gas were transported to Türkiye through TANAP.
