Azerbaijan's GDP production decreased in January

In the first month of this year, a total of AZN 9 billion 430.2 million of gross domestic product (GDP), which is a 0.9% less compared to the same period last year was produced in Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports citing the State Statistics Committee.

The added value in oil-gas sector decreased by 4.0%, while in the non-oil and gas sector, it increased by 1.0%.

The GDP production was distributed as follows: 39.9% in industry, 10.3% in trade; repair of transport vehicles, 7.1% in transportation and warehousing, 4.2% in construction, 3.1% in agriculture, forestry, and fishing, 2.0% in accommodation and catering services, 1.9% in information and communication, and 20.7% in other sectors. Taxes on products and imports accounted for 10.8% of GDP.

The GDP per capita was AZN 922.1.
