In January 2025, Azerbaijan exported 58,072.5 tons of fruits and vegetables worth USD 60 million 487.7 thousand, APA-Economics reports.
According to APA-Economics' calculations based on the report of the State Customs Committee, compared to the corresponding period of last year, the value of fruits and vegetables exported from the country increased by 10.8% or USD 5.9 million, and the volume increased by 17% or 8,466 tons. In January 2024, Azerbaijan exported 49,606 tons of fruits and vegetables worth USD 54 million 611 thousand.
During the past month, the share of fruits and vegetables in total exports was 1.99%, and its share in non-oil exports was 24.61%.
Note that the main exported fruit and vegetable products during the reporting period included tomatoes worth USD 14 million 714 thousand (13,040 tons), forest hazelnuts worth USD 14 million 45.4 thousand (2,024 tons), dates worth USD 19 million 292 thousand (26,113 tons), apples worth USD 6 million 858 thousand (10,705 tons), pomegranates worth USD 2 million 14 thousand (2,278 tons), and potatoes worth USD 33.9 thousand (113 tons).
Recall that in 2024, Azerbaijan exported 686,254 tons of fruits and vegetables worth USD 707 million 795 thousand.
