France was the best partner for Azerbaijan in West before - Director of the "Conflicts" journal

"We could see that Azerbaijan's relationship with France has always been good, whether in the archives of Ali Mardan bey Topchubashov or in the fact that the late Heydar Aliyev made his first foreign trip to this country after being elected president in 1993," said Gil Mihaely, Director of the "Conflicts" journal, at the international conference "France and the Armenia-Azerbaijan Conflict", APA reports.

He also reminded that France, the co-chair of the Minsk Group, has participated in the signing of the ceasefire agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan: "Previously, France was the best partner for Azerbaijan in the West. In 1994, a ceasefire agreement was signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia. However, after that, the Armenian diaspora in France became even more active."
