The capacity rate of gas storage facilities in the European Union countries has dropped below 65%, APA-Economics reports, citing Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE).
According to the information, the capacity rate of storage facilities in the EU countries is 64.98%, which is 6.37 percentage points lower than the average for this date over the past five years.
It was noted that EU countries have released approximately 36 billion cubic meters of gas from underground storage facilities since the start of the heating season. The heating season in Europe began on October 29, 2024
It is reported that the total volume of gas in storage facilities is currently about 72.1 billion cubic meters.
It should be noted that the transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe through the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) began on December 31, 2020.
